"Deities" are the Gods of D&D, embodying the different powers and aspects of existence. Each deity represents one or more of these aspects called "domains", some are the only deities with power over those while others share their powers over domains with deities of similar interest or origin. Deities differ in power, interests, origins, alignment and other points. In the following list, you will find the major deities of the D&D 3.5 Forgotten Realms setting sorted from A-Z with the basic information about each of them. Gildorym has hand picked a list of Deities that exists within our world.
Alignments A total of nine different alignments exists, each of them standing for a different general setting. Alignment describes the rough overall behavior of any being - no matter if mortal or deity. Alignments of your deities are important for your characters alignment - as a member of a deities clergy, you have to be of a specific alignment, most of the time you may only be one step away from your deities alignment, but only True Neutral if your Deity is also True Neutral.
Domains Deities rule over domains. Domains are what defines a deities area of interest, at least roughly. A deity of nature, for example, is likely to have the Plant and Animal domains, while a deity of battle may have the War and Strength domains. We only allow the domains listed with each deity below, not any additional domains which they may have in any of the D&D Books or Settings. Clerics get two domains from their deity and will gain spells and abilities according to those domains.
